Interactive installation Funky Forest

news_13149_1_MDInstalling Funky Forest, created by Theodore Watson (Theodore Watson) and Emily Gobell (Emily Gobeille), was introduced in 2007 in the Netherlands at the festival Cinekid. The installation is a room equipped with projectors and sensors that allow children to interact with a virtual ecosystem. The motions of bodies, children create trees on the walls of the room, but for the normal life of trees need water, which is present in a nearby waterfall. To supply the plant with water to adjust the direction of flow, which is also the movements of the body or the movement of everyday items that are on the floor of the room. If the case is progressing well, the forest begins to fill with virtual people.

On the one hand, such as interactive technology at trade shows are a great undertaking, because they combine the creative and technical start. On the other hand, the situation looks somewhat depressing, because almost nobody can afford the installation of home.
